"Holy, holy" is a collection of on-going studio research dedicated to the exploration of the relationship between the reverence of religion and the reverence of art. The research is informed by an isolated rural upbringing as a child in the Pentecostal church. It is a practice of religion that encourages modesty within life and aesthetics. The work is a translation of the sublime found within the banal and employs duchampian methodologies to focus on the contextual reverence of an art realm and the creation of poetic value within familiar and ordinary objects. It operates under the idea that the content of art can be read as both prose or scripture.
